Hi! I’m Coach Danj. I hope you’re having a good day as you read this. My full name is Prince Abubakar Danjuma Mohammed Kutigi, but please just call me Coach Danj.
I was born in 1979 in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, West Africa, and came to the Philippines in 2011 with a clear vision: to develop grassroots football in the country.
Football has been part of me since I was 3 years old. Growing up, the sport shaped my life and passion. I played professionally as a striker for Niger Tornados before fully committing to coaching.
What have I been up to since I came here?
• 2012–2015 – CEO and coach of Gold FC in Marikina Sports Complex
• 2015 – Earned my AFC C License in Bacolod under the Philippine Football Federation
• 2015–2022 – Football coach at British School Manila (BSM) After Class Activity (ASA)
• Nov 2017–Jan 2018 – Head Coach of Kaya FC Academy Kinder
• 2017–present – Assistant Coach of Caribbean FC in Bonifacio Global City
• 2018 – Earned my AFC B License in Bacolod under the Philippine Football Federation
• 2022–present – EL Football coach at Nord Anglia International School Manila
